"Little Digger" unveiled
Unveiling of Memorial Statue
2pm @ The Pioneer Village, Pittsworth.
There will be a display of all local WW1 Servicemen and Women in the Post Office Building at the Pioneer Village.
There will be a flag raising ceremony, Paul Antonio will unveil the statue, a wreath laying and a planting of a Lone Pine Tree.
There will also be a display of photo's that were taken by some of these brave men and women enlisted from the Pittsworth and surrounding districts.

A granite statue of a World War One soldier now takes pride of place in front of the Pioneer Village's RSL Display Centre
The "Little Digger" was unveiled during a Pittsworth RSL sub branch ceremony on Saturday 18th April, 2015.
A Lone Pine seedling was also planted on the western side of the display centre. The tree is a direct descendant of those growing on the Gallipoli Peninsular in 1915.

Cost - $30 (morning tea & lunch included)

Speaker Karen Rowe is a member of the Toowoomba & Darling Downs History Society and has been researching soldiers & nurses for the last 15 years.
If you have any elusive WW1 soldiers you can't find, bring their name on the day and Karen will endeavour to find them for you.
